Bobby is one of the few professionals in the entertainment industry who is involved with several government and industry bodies and educational institutions focussing on media and entertainment.
He is advisor to the Industrial Development Bank of India and the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India.
He founded and, till 2003, was convenor of FRAMES, India 's largest Entertainment Conference and is currently Chairman of the Entertainment initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry and on the CII National Council. He is also on the Governing Council of the Film and TV Institute of India, Pune.
Bobby's current projects include a ten film slate of diverse genre of feature films, including Lajo, a film based on Ismat Chugtai's "Gharwali" starring Aamir Khan, to be directed by Mani Ratnam; and Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi - a comedy starring Rishi Kapoor, directed by one of India 's best known film and theatre writers. Bobby's is currently developing a film/multimedia project on India 's greatest epic - The Mahabharata along the lines of Lord of The Rings.
