Namrata Singh Gujral

American actress of Sikh faith, whose ethnic mix includes East-Indian, Tibetan and Latin, Namrata Singh Gujral, often referred to as "America's Spiciest Sweetheart", is best known for her portrayal of "Fari Bin Ghori" on CBS's "The Agency", exec produced by Wolfgang Peterson ("The Perfect Storm, Troy"), "Nurse Kathy" on NBC's "Passions" and "Renu Mathur" in Bollywood blockbuster 'Kaante".

A 1998 graduate from the University of West Florida , Namrata moved to Hollywood in 2001 and was "taft-hartleyed" into the Screen Actors Guild after just one month in town.

From the role of Pakistani-American "Saira Ahmed" on CBS's "Family Law" directed by Fred Gerber (Desperate Housewives), for which Namrata, along with co-stars Tony Danza and Kathleen Quinlan were Columbia Tristar's official nomination for the EMMY AWARDS 2002 to playing the lead role of German-Samoan beauty, Anna Kraus in "The Shark Hunter" where she co-stars with Yancy Arias (of King Pins and Miss Saigon),

Namrata has successfully portrayed a variety of ethnicities in film, TV and on stage.

Her other acting credits include guest stars on ABC's "Dragnet", ABC's 'General Hospital" and indie films 'Mitsein" and 'Himalayan Rhapsody". Namrata has also played principal roles in commercials for Toyota , Cox Communications, WWF, The Learning Channel and WorldXchange and has lent her voice to the role of 'Jaya Kushala", a principal character in Microsoft's X-Box game "Quantum Redshift".

In addition to these varied roles, Namrata was also recently declared "Babe-Of-The-Week", a title she shares with Heather Locklear, Jessica Simpson and Faith Hill, among others.

In February 2005, Namrata was guest speaker at a Hollywood panel in Washington DC at a 5000 attendee event. Among other high profile figures, fellow speakers included United States Vice President Dick Cheney and journalist Sam Donaldson. Namrata is the first South Asian to be invited speaker at this event. Gujral's upcoming projects include lead roles in the romantic comedy AMERICANIZING SHELLEY directed by Lorraine Senna (The Sopranos, Northern Exposure), due for release in 2007 and upcoming sci-fi feature STILL, scheduled to start production in mid-2008.

Gujral also makes her singing debut with her recently recorded single DANCIN' IN THE CLOUDS, a never-been-done-before "American Country" meets "Bollywood" style duet, with country star Steve Azar("Waitin' On Joe w/ Morgan Freeman), currently playing on CMT. This makes Gujral the first Eastern artist ever featured on CMT. Namrata also serves as President of American Pride Films Group.
