Noel de Souza


Born in Hyderabad ( Deccan ) Noel attended St. Joseph 's College in Conoor and then moved on to do a year at Wadia College before obtaining a B.S. in business administration from the University of California in Berkley .

But business was not to be his profession, after working a short stint for a British paint company in Calcutta , he returned to the states and acquired a degree in drama from the Pasadena Playhouse, upon graduation he launched a successful career in television, film, radio and the stage.

In 1980 he together with Polish film-make Yehuda Tarmu launched a company which produced educational films, two of their films won awards (The Christopher Award and The New York Library Award) and one (The Boy Of Bombay) was nominated at the San Francisco Film Festival.

In the late seventies he hosted a short-lived radio program INTERNATIONAL VIEWPOINT on a local FM station, but when the station was sold and became a country and western station his program did not find another home.

Currently Noel is concentrating on acting in commercials and has a number of regional and national spots in both English and Spanish. The latest being a promotion for X BOX (video game)

He has been a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press since 1957 and in 2006 received a gold card for his contribution to the organization. He also works on the production end of The Golden Globe Awards.
